5K Winter Series

What's New

Triton Events is bringing back the Winter 5k Series by popular demand!  We made some great improvements to this years race series, one being the run course.  We listened to your suggestions last year about the course and so you will get a fantastic new course this year. The second change to the series are the prices.  We also listened to your suggestions and made the series registration less expensive.  The only draw back is less swag included, but there will be swag for sale.  The other major change is the addition of a KIDS MILE to each race!  Bring out the family and let the kids burn off some energy and then enjoy some hot chocolate after the run.  All ages are welcome.  The Winter Series 5k's also welcome all walkers and strollers.  Click HERE to to race website for all the latest details.

How The Series Works

There will be a total of 3 5k runs.  All the runs will start and finish from the same location. We will take your best 2 runs and total up your time for an overall time.  If you run all 3, we drop your slowest run.  At the end of the last run, we will have our awards ceremony.  The top 3 male and female finishers in their age group will receive prizes.  

Awards & Age Groups

• The top 3 male and female finishers in each age group will receive prizes from select sponsors
• The top overall male and female will receive the Winter Series trophy
• The first 100 finishers of each race will receive a signature Winter Series glass
• Kids mile prizes TBD
• After each run we will meet at Grand Rounds for refreshments, food and door prizes about 30 min after the last runner
• Each finisher who presents their bib at Grand Rounds will receive discounts on food and beverages

The top 3 male & female finishers from the following age groups will be awarded prizes after the last race

• This year we have a signature Winter Race Series beanie from Sweatvac for sale
• Beanie orders will end on Jan 25 or until supplies last
• Beanies should be available by the last race at packet pickup feb 5

Timing

All runners (excluding the kids mile) will be chip timed from Racers Edge Timing.  Instant individual race times and photos will be available right from your smart phone after you finish each race.  You can download the IYR app to see all race info and results.
